Residents of Nzema Nkwanta in Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region are crying over the poor and deadly nature of their school facilities.
Speaking with some of the residents and teachers of the said community revealed that due to the nature of the school, parents have being vacating their wards from the school.
Though, children in the community desire to get access to education mostly distanced themselves because of the scary appearance of the school facilities. “Things get worsen during the raining season”, they lamented.
“No toilet facility for both Teachers and the pupils. We are currently using the primary school ICT lab which has nothing inside, not even a chair and a blackboard. Just in no time that one of the elders of Nzema Nkwanta has given us money to buy plywood to serve as a blackboard for studies.”
He also added that the people of Nzema Nkwanta have contributed all their efforts but proved futile.
“To my worry, our dear form three students don’t have a classroom where teaching and learning activities will be performed. We are also lacking teaching and learning materials in the school.”
Meanwhile, the people of Nzema Nkwanta are appealing to the Member of Parliament who doubles as the Regional Minister for Western North Region, Hon. Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu and his able Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Alfred Amoah to come to their aid as a matter of urgency.
