The government on assumption of office vow to make Ghana the cleanest country in Africa so was the vision of the central regional ministers wished to make the region clean.
The operation keep the high way clean introduced by the regional minister.
The regional minister, Hon Kwamena Duncan speaking at Mankessim in the Mfantseman municipality, said the operation clean the high way started in Cape Coast and all the district across the region adding said, it is the third one in the year.
“people must be aware that littering the streets is an offense”, he uttered
He admonished a section of Ghanaians to change their attitude elaborating people do not clean the street every morning and should not litter around
He lamented, the little money government will use to improve education and infrastructure, then government will use it for health issues.
He asked all to advice people who are seen littering to stop the act.
He pleaded with drivers to be extra careful as the cleaning is been taking by assemblies and their workers, zoomlion and JHS students.
The MCE for Mfantseman municipality, Hon KK Essuman also said, they have all embraced the president’s vision of making Ghana the cleanest country.
The MCE also added, it is third in year and students, zoomlion and assembly workers have all taken part, but some store operations looked unconcerned.
According to him laws will be made enacted and enforced to prosecute offenders.
He also asked the media to help educate the public about sanitation laws to be able to abide by them.
