In deed, we thank God that the Jirapa ndc fraternity has gone through a very fruitful and rewarding exercise, to elect the Parliamentary candidate ahead of the 2020 general elections.
First of all, I wish to elegantly express my deepest appreciation to our beloved delegates, volunteers, well wishers, family and friends of our great NDC family, for contributing immensely, to my electoral victory as your parliamentary aspirant in our collective bid to retain the Jirapa seat come 2020 general elections. I pledge to make you proud by working extra hard to represent you well in parliament by representing your views on national issues and projecting your developmental aspirations. Since this electoral victory is only an internal affair, I least expect your jubilations to travel beyond 30 minutes. Please, let’s reserve that energy to unite our rank and file, for the ELEPHANT awaits us in the battle field.
I also wish to thank the electoral commission, the party executives, polling station agents, and all who mattered most and did the needful in ensuring a peaceful and incidence-free election. The few hitches, characteristic of very election, though surfaced, but were dealt with swiftly and maturedly. Thank you for giving us a credible election and we pray these gains are sustained and as much as possible, enhanced in future, which I believe would consolidate our democratic credentials.
To my colleague contenders, namely; Hon.Dakurah Bawaana Dakurah, Hon. Salia Babanye Bright, Hon.Vitus Gbang, Hon.Richard Kunaa, and Hon. Reagan Dapilah, it is abundantly clear that, you have contributed immensely to deepening internal democracy within our great party in the Jirapa constituency. It is only a requirement by the constitution that only one person, out of the many, is elected, and I happen to be that lucky one. This extraordinary contest, is a manifestation that, “We indeed, have the MEN for the next John Mahamah administration in 2020”.
I salute you all and I hold, in high esteem, your ideas and contributions towards the growth of our great party. Your efforts shall forever remain an indelible foot print in the hearts of our members. This is the moment we need your solidarity the most, to not only retain the seat once again, but increase the margin of victory of our flag bearer, which would go a long way to deepen our chances of recapturing power from the failed Nana Addo/Bawumia administration in 2020. There is indeed no room for complacency. I charge you all to put behind us this small ceremony and get into action in unism.
Once again, I thank you all for the cooperation, prayers and resources, that you have contributed to a victory, which I would rather refer to as a party victory. This is indeed what differentiates our dear party from our opponents; tolerance, peace, unity, stability, love and resilience. I shall always be guided by these core leadership principles which remains the hall mark of our forefathers and binds us to the grassroots because all is well that ends well as Albert Ellis once said.
God bless you all.
Eye Zu! Eye Za!!
