Former MPs from Volta Region commends NDC for peaceful parliamentary primary elections

The Association of Former MPs from Volta Region has commended the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) party in the Region for a peaceful Parliamentary Primary Elections.

According to the Association, the peaceful nature of the process indicates the political maturity and tolerance of the contestants, delegates and all stakeholders.

“We congratulate all elected Parliamentary candidates in the various constituencies. We especially congratulate our sitting MPs who contested, for achieving a 100% victory,” the Association congratulated the NDC in a statement.

The Association also congratulated the Regional Executives, the Regional Elections Directorate and the Constituency Executives and their Election Directorates for a good job done.

It called on all winners to extend a hand of comradeship to the other contestants and all stakeholders in the Constituencies.

However, the Former MPs reiterated that they are fully committed to be in the trenches in all the 18 constituencies in order to ensure a maximum turn out and an unprecedented victory come December 2020.

The Association of Former MPs from Volta Region commends the NDC party in the Region for a peaceful Parliamentary Primary Elections.

The peaceful nature of the process indicates the political maturity and tolerance of the contestants, delegates and all stakeholders.

We congratulate all elected Parliamentary candidates in the various constituencies. We especially congratulate our sitting MPs who contested, for achieving a 100% victory.

We also congratulate all contestants for offering themselves to serve our Region and country. Their participation enriched the democratic process and had helped to galvanize the grassroots towards 2020

We also congratulate the Regional Executives and the Regional Elections Directorate and the Constituency Executives and their Election Directorates for a good job done.

At this juncture, we call on all winners to extend a hand of comradeship to the other contestants and all stakeholders in the Constituencies.

We need all hands on deck to accomplish the major battle of 2020.

We also call on the Council of Elders and the FEC to be proactive in settling any fallouts from the elections and signs of disunity in the constituencies.

Finally, we the former MPs reiterate that we are ready and fully committed to be in the trenches in all the 18 constituencies in order to ensure a maximum turn out and an unprecedented victory come December 2020.
