Former GFA Vice and Former chairman of Black Stars management committee, attributed the Blacks Stars early exit from the ongoing AFCON tournament in Egypt to camping issues.
Speaking to Saddick Adams on Atinka Total Sports, Mr Pappoe said “if you look at the stage we got eliminated, it cannot be anything short from catastrophic, I think it was very unfortunate and sad looking at the campaign especially the last work of it when it mattered most, preparations and the workout with the round up to the effect was quite okay and satisfactory but at the last moment when it mattered most we failed, it’s very sad but I think almost everybody is trying to get along with his or her life, we should put it at the back of their minds. It was very catastrophic I will say.”
Ghanaians were very hopeful that the Black Stars were going to end the 37 year-old trophy drought.
Their hopes was, however, shattered by Tunisia in the round of 16 in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw in a normal regulation but during the penalty shootout, Caleb Ekuban missed his kick and Ghana lost on 5-4.
